This page covers the LinkedIn Sourcing extension specifically — the exact Chrome permissions it asks for and the exact fields it reads. The extension is one feature of HyperTalent as a whole; for the full picture of what HyperTalent collects (candidate data from every source, AI features, integrations, sub-processors), see the HyperTalent privacy policy.
This extension is built and used internally by HyperVerge’s Talent Acquisition team. It isn’t offered to the public — every person who uses it signs in with an existing @hyperverge.co Google account, the same one they already use for HyperTalent.
When you sign in:your name and email address, from your existing HyperVerge Google account. Sign-in uses Google’s own OAuth flow — we receive a signed identity token proving who you are, never your password.
When you click Save on a LinkedIn profile: the public fields already visible on the page you have open — name, headline, current title & company, location, LinkedIn URL, and (when present) about, experience, education, and skills — plus which recruiter saved it and when.
That’s the entirety of it. Nothing is read from a page other than the one LinkedIn profile you have open when you click the extension’s action — the same page you’re looking at, the same fields you could select and copy by hand. There is no background crawling, no bulk export, and no automation that runs without a recruiter deliberately opening a profile and clicking Save: the extension reads one page, once, only when a person tells it to.
A saved profile is written straight into HyperTalent’s existing systems — the same place every other candidate in the platform lives:
Both are already governed by HyperTalent’s role-based access — only the TAs, hiring managers, admins, and managers assigned to that specific role can see a candidate saved into it. We don’t sell, share, or transfer this data to anyone outside HyperVerge, and we don’t use it for anything other than sourcing candidates into HyperTalent — never to determine creditworthiness, for lending, or for any other purpose.
Data in transit (your sign-in token, the profile you save) travels over HTTPS end to end. Where it lands — the role’s Google Sheet and the Supabase enrichment table — is access-controlled the same way the rest of HyperTalent is: scoped to the TAs, hiring managers, admins, and managers assigned to that role, not open to the whole company.
None. The extension sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking technology of any kind. The one thing it stores on your device is the cached sign-in token described below, which never leaves your browser except as the credential on requests you initiate.
For as long as the candidate’s record exists in HyperTalent — the same retention as any other candidate sourced through the platform, whether they came from LinkedIn, a referral, or a direct application.
Ask your TA lead to remove a profile you saved by mistake, or to review what’s stored for a specific candidate. The “Sign out” link in the side panel clears your cached sign-in token from your device immediately.
The data described above is about you, even though you never used this extension yourself — it’s the same public information visible on your LinkedIn profile, saved by a recruiter into HyperTalent the way any candidate’s details would be, whether they came from LinkedIn, a referral, or a direct application. If you’d like to know what’s stored about you, correct it, or have it removed, contact us below and we’ll route it to the right TA lead.
The full list, with what each one is used for, lives on the extension’s main page:
